I bet there are others here in Utah with Spring Fever like me. I can not wait! Pretty flowers in the yard and barbecues – doesn’t it sound great?
Tips for your spring yard prep include many items:
- Raking up your remnants of leaves and debris off the grass and flower beds. This allows for spring growth to come out and begin its seasonal life. They need to breathe and gain sunlight early in the year. Plus, it prepares the solid for fertilizer that includes pesticide. When your soil reaches the temperature of 55 +, your soil will be prepared lay your first layer of pesticide.
- Prep your lawn mower. Take it in for a yearly tune-up so when the first lawn mowing is ready. Make sure the gas is back in the mower for the year, your oil is changed and the blade is sharpened. Spark plugs are in good shape and you are set to go!
- Sharpen your pruning shears and trim the non-blooming shrubs. If the shears are dull, your bushes and shrubs will pay the price with damage and injury.
- Check your sprinkler systems and hoses incase washers need to be replaced, leaks, or broken sprinkler heads.
